====== Getting started ====== ===== What is a wiki? ===== A wiki is a type of website that allows users to easily add, remove, or change content. This content can be anything from text to images. What makes wikis special is that many people can work on the same page at the same time, making it a collaborative effort. This means that the information on a wiki can be updated quickly and by anyone who has access. Wikipedia is the most famous example of a wiki, where volunteers from around the world write and edit articles about all sorts of topics. Wikis are often used for gathering and sharing knowledge, for projects, or as a part of a community. ===== Why a wiki? ===== The Last Reformation is a movement that started back in 2011. It has been a pioneering work with the goal of seeing a form of christianity that more closely resemble that what we read in the book of Acts. Over the years, many people tried different things, starting local churches, trying other forms of evangelism. Some were succesful, others not. It has been a learning experience. In order to learn from each other, and grow together as a body, the idea came to make a platform where everyone can contribute to. A wiki seemed to be the most suitable way to do this, so everything can be presented in an organized way and all material easy to find for visitors. ===== Who can contribute? ===== You need an account on the TLR Map to be able to contribute. You can login on this Wiki with your username/password that you use on the TLR Map. Note that your account on the TLR Map needs to be registered more than 6 months ago. After you have logged in, you can make changes to any page. Simply click on the edit button on each page (or part of the page) as start to make changes. ===== How to make changes ===== You can change a section of a page by clicking on the little symbol you find below each section. You can also edit a page as a whole, by clicking on in the bar at the right side of the page. Don't worry if you make a mistake: you can click on to go back to an old revision of the page. ===== Writing text ===== All text on this Wiki is written as plain text with some special codes. For example, if you want to write some text **bold** you would simply need to put stars (*) around it. So you would need to write it as **bold** The easiest way to start is to look how others have done it by editing a page. We use the DokuWiki engine. For a more complete guide, please see this page. ===== Adding images ===== You can simply paste an image (Ctrl-V on Windows / Command-V on Mac) as you are writing text. The image will then automatically be uploaded and a link will be added to your text. ===== Adding TLR Map users ===== This page is connected with the TLR Map. If you want to add the name of a user of the map to this wiki, simply click on a marker on the map and click on the symbol. This will copy a link to the marker on the clipboard. Next, go back to this wiki and paste the copied link into a page and surround it with For example, to show; https://map.thelastreformation.com/user/537141328 You need to add this text to the page: https://map.thelastreformation.com/user/537141328 ===== Advanced ===== This site was made using DokuWiki engine. On top of that, we use the ComboStrap plugin. Look at their documentation to see more styling options.
